Hi Martin,     I couldn't SPEAK  or understand ????  We use speak when referring to a language.  I speak English.  I am talking to you about this.  IT is also correct to say I am speaking about this.  But it is not correct to say I talk English.

I couldn't catch that word after you said understand...

     I started TO improve

     You speak very well.

Hello Martin, you have spoken fairly well.

It might help you to write some notes for any future exercises where you have to speak without a script being provided.

Martin you have a very nice voice and speak well. It is basically easy to understand you. I had a little difficulty with the phrase after "I couldn't talk or understand" but after a few times I got  it; it is "from listening to." I could not speak or understand English from  listening (to it). I started to improve my English since the beginning of the March.

And, obviously your effort has been worthwhile!

A native English speaker would say ...              I started to study to improve my English at the beginning of last March  Very well done. I could not understand what you said right after speak or understand...  Everything else was good ( I have a brother named Martin-now I know how to say his name in Polish!) Keep studying, you are doing well.

Your English accent is great; everything was very clear and accurate.

"I started to improve my English at the beginning of March." - because this is one, completed action.

Or you can say "I have been improving my English since the beginning of March." - this is a continuing process.

    Well done!

In Polish we pronounce it '.....'   do not say 'like'

I have lived in Warsaw for a long time.

I couldn't speak or understand every day language

...... so I started to improve my English at the begining of last March.

Well spoken and pronounced. Due to my hearing problem I could not understand the 3 or 4 words after 'I live in Warsaw long....'

    Very well done!

My name is Martin.  In Polish we pronounce it as Marchen.  I live in Warsaw, Poland, the European Union.

I work mainly as an electronics engineer.  I know the technical language, but I could not speak or understand (____?___), so I started to improve my English at the beginning of March.

I understood everything except the missing word/s above.

What was the word or words you said after understanding?

    Very good pronunciation.

There were a few words that I didn't quite understand.  However, I think you are doing quite well with your speaking.

    Martin,

I listened to the older version and the new one. I will comment on the new one. It was very good! (I didn't find the old one that difficult to understand, either, but this one is even better.)

Honestly, I don't hear any words that need to improve. In my opinion, it is all very clear and lovely to listen to. It's very good! Congratulations!
